E. Michael Southwick
Elmer Michael Southwick (born January 12, 1945 in Willits , California ) is an American diplomat .
Life
E. Michael Southwick married Susan Southwick with Edward M., Andrew D., and Katherine G. Southwick. E. Michael Southwick joined the foreign service in 1968. He was accredited in Niger , Rwanda and Burundi . From 1990 to 1994 Southwick was Deputy Ambassador to Nairobi , Kenya . He was then ambassador to Uganda from 1994 to 1997 .
In 2001, Southwick headed the US delegation to the World Conference Against Racism in Durban . Southwick was in the 2004 retirement displaced and are at the US Institute of Peace (USIP) seminars .
