mode

Basic round phase 1

The teams of group A and group B each play a round trip and a first round against the clubs of the other group, making a total of 22 games per team.

Basic round phase 2

The top 3 of each group play the pick and home rights for the playoff in a round trip (10 games per team). The other ten teams fight for the last two playoff places in two groups of five teams each (Qualification Round A and B). The two winners of the qualification round A + B complete the field of the top 8.

Play-offs

Quarter-finals and semi-finals are played in a best-of-three series, the final in a best-of-five series.

Austrian U18 champion

Austrian U18 champions cannot become an international (= non-Austrian) club or an association with the official academy status of the ÖEHV. Should no Austrian club win the EBJL final, the championship title will be played separately in a best-of-three series between the two Austrian clubs with the highest points in the basic round . Eligible to play for the Austrian U18 title are: EV VSV, EC KAC, EHC Linz, Vienna Capitals, Zell am See.
