ECAP

The ECAP Foundation is a non-profit, not-for-profit adult education institute established by the Italian trade union CGIL.

ECAP has been active in Switzerland since 1970 . In 1984 the institute was converted into a foundation and signed a cooperation agreement with the Swiss Federation of Trade Unions (SGB) and then with the Spanish trade union Comisiones Obreras and the CGTP from Portugal. There has been a cooperation with the Unia union since September 2006 .

The foundation, based in Zurich, is eduQua -certified and has had a collective employment contract since 2016.

target

The activity is based on the solidarity values ​​of the sponsorship of the foundation and the basic right to education. Its aim is to promote education for younger and older adults, especially migrants and less qualified workers in Switzerland.

organization

The foundation's educational offer is available in 15 cantons. It is implemented by 9 regional offices located in Aarau, Basel, Bern, Lamone, Lucerne, Lausanne, Solothurn, Winterthur and Zurich.
