As passenger cars C 36 - C 38 three two-axle passenger cars of the electric trams in the canton of Zug (ESZ) were designated.
history
The company Electric trams in the Canton train (SPC) opened on 9 September 1913, the interurban tram routes tensile Oberägeri , train Baar -Thalacker and Nidfurren-Menzingen. CFe 4/4 railcars ran on all routes . In the first years of operation, these drove as a solo multiple unit and replaced the automobile courses, because the nine-seater Orion buses previously used were not reliable and, with their solid rubber wheels, were not comfortable on the unpaved road.
In 1919 the ESZ ordered the two two-axle passenger cars C 36 and C 37. These were put into operation on March 31, 1920. The third car, the C 38, entered service in 1926.
The tram operation on these routes was discontinued in 1953 and replaced by 5 Saurer DUK buses. In 1955, the three cars were sold to the Sernftalbahn in the canton of Glarus . In 1969 this railway also switched to bus service. The C-38 car was scrapped after 1986. The other two were taken over by the Eurovapor association and brought to Solothurn . Until 1981 the wagons stood unused on the tracks of the Solothurn-Zollikofen-Bern-Bahn and Bern-Worb-Bahn . The C-36 car was scrapped in the early 1970s. The remaining C-37 car was sold to the Jagsttalbahn in Germany. In 1983/1984 it was revised and provided with wheelsets for 750 mm track width. The Jagst Valley Railway has been shut down for a long time, and its continued existence is uncertain. The former ESZ passenger car is also affected by this.
