ETKA is the abbreviation for Electronic Parts Catalog of the VW Group, a database-supported software solution for searching for and ordering spare parts. It is produced and updated by LexCom.

ETKA

The catalog contains exploded views of individual assemblies and various lists and information on the models of the Audi , Seat , Škoda and Volkswagen car brands , such as equipment variants and the installation time of engines and transmissions according to code letters. A vehicle-specific spare part has a printed or embossed number that is unique across the group and on the basis of which the search for spare parts is simplified for dealers and customers. There are also standard parts that are not vehicle-specific (such as screws, hose clamps ), some of which are only available from VW, such as screws with an XZN profile. The catalog can propose successor models of obsolete spare parts, but several parts in the group can also represent one obsolete spare part. However, it is also possible that technically identical parts have different numbers, as these are each intended for a different vehicle model.

Alternatives

Since ETKA is only sold to dealers of VAG brands, LexCom offers ETOS ( spare parts order system ) for independent workshops, vehicle fleet and petrol station operators , which has the same information and similar usability as ETKA, but allows the user to choose from which supplier he orders. In addition, spare parts catalogs for the brands Alfa Romeo , Fiat , Ford , Lancia , Opel and Porsche have been made available online since mid-November 2007 . LexCom offers a pure internet solution under the name partslink24 . The "original spare parts portal" offers spare parts catalogs for the same brands for a fee, as well as an online ordering option with free choice of supplier.

The Volkswagen Group itself provides erWin ( electronic repair and workshop information ) for its brands, an online ordering system for information material that private customers can use in addition to commercial users.
