The EWA IIa series was a series of locomotives with a tender operated by the Vienna-Aspang Railway (EWA). It had the axle formula 2Bn2 and was built by the Lokomotivfabrik Wiener Neustadt from 1895 to 1900, whereby two slightly different series were implemented, which differed mainly in the longer smoke chamber of the second series.

They were given the numbers 31-35 on the Vienna-Aspang railway , with the first two belonging to the first series. They were coupled with tenders of the types 3T-12.0 / 5.0 with an operating weight of 29.5 tons.

The machines with the numbers 31, 34 and 35 were retired in 1936. When the BBÖ took over the Vienna – Aspang railway on lease in 1937, the remaining machines in this series were not given a BBÖ number. The Deutsche Reichsbahn, however, classified the two locomotives in 1938 as 36.7001 and 36.7002. Both survived the Second World War , but were no longer included in the ÖBB 's numbering scheme and retired in 1952.
