Earl Madery
Earl Madery (* before 1955, † March 2014 ) was an American sound engineer .
Life
Madery first worked as a sound engineer in the mid-1950s, but his career did not begin until the mid-1970s with the disaster film Giants in the Sky . This was followed by Hollywood - blockbusters as The Eiger and Midway . For the 1975 Steven Spielberg film Jaws , Madery, along with Roger Heman Jr. , Robert L. Hoyt and John R. Carter, received an Oscar in the Best Sound category in 1976. In 1983, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for his work on the television program Magnum . Madery died in March 2014.
