Earl Spry (born March 21, 1961 in Edmonton , Alberta , Canada ) is a former German ice hockey player who played on the position of defender . In the top German league he was active for the ECD Iserlohn , the Schwenninger ERC and the Krefeld Pinguine .

Career

Earl Spry first played in Germany in 1978 when he went on the ice for ERC Freiburg in the 2nd Bundesliga . From 1981 the native Canadian was under contract for three seasons with EHC Essen-West , also in the 2nd Bundesliga, with which he won the second division championship in the first season and in 1984 was able to celebrate promotion to the top division.

In the 1st Bundesliga , the defender ran for the first time in 1984 for the ECD Iserlohn , where he was under contract for three and a half seasons. After the game in Iserlohn was stopped during the 1987/88 season , Spry finished this in the 2nd Bundesliga, again in the ranks of the EHC Essen-West. From 1988 to 1993 he moved to the Black Forest , where he laced up his ice skates for the Schwenninger ERC , before running first class for the Krefeld Penguins for the next four years .

He then completed two seasons in the 1st Northern League for the Hamburg Crocodiles before ending his career in 2000 with the Schweinfurt Mighty Dogs in the Bayern League .
