The East Stack ( Norwegian Austskotet ) is a 60 m high ledge on the coast of the East Antarctic Kemplands . It rises 26 km southeast of Edward VIII Bay on the east side of the Hoseason Glacier .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations discovered it in February 1936 and named it after the name of the nearby West Stack .
