The West Stack ( Norwegian Vestskotet ) is a 120 m high rock ledge on the coast of the East Antarctic Kemplands . It rises 22 km southeast of Edward VIII Bay on the west side of the Hoseason Glacier .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations discovered it in February 1936 and named it in connection with the name of the nearby East Stack .
