Ebène City (also Ebène Cyber City or Ebène CyberCity) is a technology city in the Plaines Wilhems district on the island of Mauritius . The place is about 15 km south of the capital Port Louis .
Due to its location, Mauritius offers a bridge between Africa and Asia with its technology location. For example, there is a transfer point for the submarine cable system SAFE (South Africa Far East). In addition, AfriNIC is one of the five international domain registrars here.
The formal status of the site remains open, as the operator of the business park Ebène refers to as a district of Rose Hill to the west , while other sources assign it to the district of Quatre Bornes to the south , while others even assign it to the Port Louis district . For most resident companies, however, it is sufficient to provide the location as the sole identification in Mauritius. However, Ebène cannot be found in official statistics.
