Ebba Capelin

Ebba Lodden (born November 9, 1913 in Tønsberg ; † January 14, 1997 ibid) was a Norwegian politician of the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap). She was the first woman to hold the office of country man .

Life

From 1948 to 1963 Lodden was a member of the Arendal City Council, and from 1965 to 1960 she was the city's deputy mayor. From 1960 to 1977 she was chairman of the Forbrukerrådet consumer council . From 1963 she was employed in the municipality of Tønsberg, from 1967 to 1974 she worked as their social affairs manager. In the period from 1972 to 1974 she was also a member of the Tønsberg local parliament.

In 1974 she was appointed Fylkesmann of the Aust-Agder Province. She became the first woman to hold this post. As such, she was also known as “Fylkeskvinne” ( German : “Fylkesfrau”), but the official title remains Fylkesmann for women as well. Lodden remained in office until 1984.
