Eberhard Rathgeb

Eberhard Rathgeb (* 1959 in Buenos Aires ) is a German journalist and writer .

Life

Eberhard Rathgeb was born in Buenos Aires in 1959 and moved to Germany with his family in 1963 . He studied German in Munich and Frankfurt am Main . After graduating, he worked as an editor for various publishing houses for over ten years . In 1998 he was feature editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung . From 2007 he worked in the same position at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung .

Rathgeb lives as a freelance writer in northern Germany and is married to the literary critic Iris Radisch , with whom he has three daughters.

Awards

Rathgeb received the 2013 Aspect Literature Prize for his debut novel No Couple Like Us .
