Ece Seçkin
Ece Seçkin (born September 12, 1991 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish pop singer.
biography
Early years
Seçkin was born on September 12, 1991 in Istanbul and grew up there. At the age of eight she learned to play the piano and received lessons from her mother. In the later examination of the piano conservatory in 1998, she took first place. In addition to this activity, Seçkin also learned ballet and took dance lessons with Filiz Çoskuner in Istanbul. Seçkin's musical talents were discovered during her school days. She joined the school choir and later formed a small band. Seçkin took part in various smaller competitions while she was still in school. In 2006 she received private singing lessons from Levent Arslan.
After graduating from school in 2010, Seçkin began studying at the Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi in the Faculty of Law. She finished her studies in 2014. The goal, as Seçkin said himself, was to be equally successful in the fields of music and academy. The meeting with the Turkish music producer Ozan Doğulu in 2011 marked the beginning of her music career.
Musical career
In 2012 the debut album Bu Ne Yaa , produced in collaboration with Ozan Doğulu, was released , which was released in September under the label "Doğulu Production". In 2013 she received the Altın Kelebek award in the “Best Newcomer” category. In addition to this award, Seçkin was nominated for the Turkish Music Award and the Pal Fm Music Award for "Best Female Artist".
After a break of about a year and a half, the duo single Hoşuna Mı Gidiyor was released in collaboration with Doğulu. Hoşuna Mi Gidiyor was released as a promo single, and the song is also included on Ozan Doğulu's third studio album 130 bpm Moderato . On October 14th of the same year, Seçkin released the single Şok Oldum . Deniz Erten wrote and produced the lyrics and music; Murad Küçük directed the music video for the song.
In May 2015 Seçkin released the EP Aman Aman . The song of the same name immediately entered the top ten of the Turkish charts after its release and was also a great success internationally. Aman Aman recorded a high number of clicks on the platforms YouTube , Spotify and Deezer , which also led to a significant increase in their popularity.
On July 4, 2016, Seçkin released her third studio album Zamanım Yok . This album, which is named after the song of the same name, contains a. the duo single Hoş Geldin Ayrılığa , which was created in collaboration with the group Kolpa , and the song Adeyyo , which was also successful and was represented in the Turkish charts.
On August 15, 2018, she released the single Dibine Dibine . The accompanying music video was shot in South Africa.
