The Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi (BAÜ) ( German : Bahçeşehir University ) is a private university in Istanbul .

It was founded in 1998 in the Bahçeşehir district and moved to the Beşiktaş district in 2006–2007 . In 2006/07 the university had 6,561 students, in 2016 there were 20,752 students.

The university has eight faculties and four locations in Istanbul.
