The Koç University is a private university in Istanbul , Turkey . It was founded in 1993 by the Vehbi Koç Foundation. The course is based on the American version of the Bachelor / Master system. The Bachelor courses are usually eight semesters and the Master courses are four semesters. The official academic language is English.
The university has three campuses in Istanbul's Sarıyer district at the northwest end of the Bosphorus - the main campus in the Rumelifeneri district and two other locations in the Sarıyer and İstinye districts - as well as a university hospital in the Topkapı district of the Fatih district .
For the Financial Times , Koç Üniversitesi is one of the TOP 100 business schools in Europe. In a ranking, the university landed in 73rd place. The EMBA course came in 29th.
