Echeveria calycosa is a species of the genus Echeveria ( Echeveria ) in the thick-leaf family(Crassulaceae).

description

Echeveria calycosa forms shoots with a maximum length of 4 centimeters. The individual leaf rosettes are 5 to 10 centimeters in diameter. The spatulate and blunt leaves have a suggested tip and are 2.5 to 5 centimeters (sometimes up to 9 centimeters) long and 1.5 to 2.5 centimeters (sometimes up to 3.5 centimeters) wide. They are colored light green.

The inflorescence consists of a single, initially inclined coil , which is later ascending. He is to 21 centimeters long and has clear and goat-celled in young inflorescences bracts . The flower stalks are 2 to 5 millimeters long. The very uneven and ascending sepals are up to 13 millimeters long. The petals are flabby. The corolla is 7.5 to 10 millimeters long and colored yellow above and orange below.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 62.

Distribution and systematics

Echeveria calycosa is distributed in Mexico in the state of Michoacán 9 kilometers south of Uruapan . The plants grow there together with lichens on shady, vertical rocks.
