Echinopsis coronata is a species of the genus Echinopsis in the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet coronata comes from Latin , means 'crowned' and refers to the flowers, several of which appear near the tip of the shoot.

description

Echinopsis coronata grows individually. The spherical, gray-green shoots reach heights of 10 to 15 centimeters and have a diameter of 12 to 17 centimeters. The apex of the shoot is sunk. There are about 13  ribs that are notched and protrude like a hatchet between the areoles. The sunken areoles on them are clearly sunk into the notches and are 2.5 to 3 centimeters apart. Awkward, gray thorns spring from them . The single central spine is 2 to 3 centimeters long. The eight to ten spread radial spines are sometimes on the shoot surface and have a length of 0.5 to 2 centimeters.

The long funnel-shaped, white and probably fragrant flowers appear in the area of the shoot apex. They are 18 to 19 inches long. The spherical, slightly humped, light green fruits reach a diameter of 2.8 to 3 centimeters and are just as long.
