Echo Appartment is a German-speaking alternative rock / pop band from Duisburg and Moers , which became known to a larger audience in 2018 with the title Alles wird gut and received the ARD TV Prize 2018 ( Bremen TV Prize ).

history

The band was founded in 2004 by the drummer and sports manager Christian P. Schneider (among other things partner of decathlon world champion Torsten Voss ), who is still a permanent member of the band today. The first radio stations (Radio Essen and Radio Bochum) became aware of the band in 2017 with the song Flying Together (EP Gedankengänge ), which Schneider wrote and composed himself along with the 3 other songs on the EP, as the song had been around for several weeks held in the Ruhrcharts and was now in third place behind mega-star Ed Sheeran. The owner of a production company became aware of the band Schneider had written for his children through the song Lights of Eternity ( also EP Gedankengänge) . Initially, the band turned down the request for the TV documentary. However, after the 5 musicians allowed themselves complete creative freedom, the television producer hired the band for the TV documentary Sing mich for Westdeutscher Rundfunk ( WDR ), which composed and wrote the song Everything will be good for the bereaved of a Loveparade victim . In terms of content, the song is about a dream of the bereaved, which gives it a positive and life-affirming power. In April 2018, the TV format was broadcast in the current hour . In the same year, the band received the Bremen TV Prize for the song and the entire process of its creation in the category What we are particularly proud of .
