The Echt Parish Church is a parish church of the Presbyterian Church of Scotland in the Scottish town of Echt in the Council Area of Aberdeenshire . In 1971 the structure was included in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A.

history

The Echt Parish Church was built in 1804. Its structure is almost identical to the former parish church of Crathie , which was demolished in the 1890s and replaced by today's Crathie Parish Church . Furthermore, there are strong parallels to the Parish Church of Skene, which is three years older . For these reasons, architects William and Andrew Clerk are accepted as planners. The bell was made in 1868. The sacrament table installed in 1930 was designed by William Kelly .

After both parishes had alternately held services in their two parish churches since 2005, the parish of Echt was officially united with the neighboring parish of Midmar in August 2018 .
