An entertainment program on ORF that was produced between 2003 and 2007 was really bold . It is a 25-minute, weekly "comedy format" in which the protagonists ( Robert Palfrader , Alex Scheurer , Max Schmiedl and Angelika Niedetzky ) play tricks on their fellow citizens in different roles and disguises. The victims do not know that they are being filmed with a hidden camera. Shooting locations are mostly lively locations in the inner city of Vienna or Graz. The focus is on the Austrian identity and mentality.
So far, four 90-minute DVDs with the highlights of each season have been released. The fourth season was broadcast on ORF every Thursday at 9:50 p.m. from January 11, 2007 as part of “ Thursday Night ”. The fourth season consists of more than 300 new stories and the locations are also new, because this time the team was not only in Austria, but also on the beach in Jesolo in Italy .
The humorous style of the show is largely based on the English series “ Trigger Happy TV ”, even if the Austrian “clone” was able to implement its own ideas over time. ProSieben released a similar TV format under the name Comedystreet .
