Eckart Huebner

Eckart Hübner (* 1960 in Hamburg ) is a German bassoonist , conductor and professor at the Berlin University of the Arts .

Life

Eckart Hübner studied bassoon with Klaus Thunemann at the Hanover University of Music and conducting at the Leipzig University of Music . After engagements as solo bassoonist with the Dortmund Philharmonic and in the Badische Staatskapelle , he switched to the bassoon soloist in the symphony orchestra of the SWR Baden Baden-Freiburg in 1990 .

As a conductor, Eckart Hübner u. a. Projects with the chamber orchestra of the European Youth Orchestra, with orchestras such as the Staatskapelle Schwerin, the Bochum Symphony Orchestra, the Jena Philharmonic, the Darmstadt Chamber Philharmonic, the German Chamber Academy Neuss and the Palatinate Chamber Orchestra, Mannheim. Hübner is a member of the Albert Schweitzer Quintet, which is one of the prize winners of the ARD competition . After a professorship in Basel, he has been professor of bassoon and ensemble work at the UdK Berlin since 1997.
