Eckart Krömer

Eckart Krömer (born April 13, 1925 in Plauen ; † September 13, 2013 ) was a German lawyer and economist as well as president of the regional synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover .

Life

Krömer was a lawyer and economist . He received his doctorate in 1951 from the law and political science faculty of the University of Göttingen. From 1967 to 1990 he was the managing director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Emden . From 1990 to 1998 he was chairman of the Diet Commission of Lower Saxony . He was also a member of the state school advisory board and the advisory board of the state institute for teacher training.

Krömer was a member of the regional synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover for four legislative periods (from 1971 to 1995) and chaired it from 1974 to 1992. He was also chairman of the church district assembly in Emden from 1972 to 1976 and a member of the synod of the Confederation of Protestant Churches in Lower Saxony from 1971 to 1987 .
