Eckhard Oberklammer

Eckhard Oberklammer (born February 23, 1945 in Mauthausen ) is a former Austrian bank manager and a member of the Austrian commercial cooperative system .

From 1970 to 2005 he was a member of the cooperative board and managing director of Sparda-Bank Linz and from 1992 to 2005 a member of the association council of the Austrian cooperative association . Politically, he is active in the SPÖ . His voluntary commitment applies to regional cultural associations.

Life and education

Oberklammer is married to Astrid, b. Neumüller and has a daughter. He graduated from the commercial academy in Linz in 1963 and held various positions at the Bank for Labor and Economics in Linz from 1964 to 1970 . Parallel to his professional activity, he studied business administration at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz from 1976 to 1980 , and in 1982 published two HAK textbooks on the subject of "Organization and Data Processing" together with Franz Strehl u. a. and completed his doctorate from 1982 to 1984. In 1984 he was a founding member from 1987 to 1996 he was the treasurer and since then he has been the deputy chairwoman of the Mauthausen cultural area. In 1989 and 1990 he taught general business administration at the University of Linz. In 2002 he was appointed to the Commercial Council and has since been an honorary judge at the labor court in Linz.

Political functions

From 1979 to 1988 he was SPÖ councilor in Mauthausen. From 1996 to 2001 he gave around 250 lectures on the euro without a fee. Most recently, he was regional supervisory chairman of the Pensioners' Association, regional organization Upper Austria .

Professional activities

After joining Sparda-Bank Linz in 1970, with four employees and total assets of € 2 million, an expansion to a cooperative bank with fourteen branches with almost one hundred employees and total assets of € 264 million began. In 1981, he passed the bank manager examination and was one of the two managing directors of the bank from 1982 to 2005. From 1992 to 2005 he was a representative of the savings and other special banks in the association council of the Austrian cooperative association .

Other functions

Oberklammer was a member of the Money and Insurance Division of the Upper Austria Chamber of Commerce .
