It was created in 2014 through a spin-off of the brands "Ecomed Sicherheit", "Ecomed Medizin" and "Storck Verlag Hamburg" from the Hüthig Jehle Rehm GmbH publishing group and belongs to the Süddeutscher Verlag media group .
