Ed Greenwood

Ed Greenwood (* 1959 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian writer and game designer. He writes science fiction and fantasy novels , some of which are based on pen & paper role-playing games .

In 1975 he created the Forgotten Realms , a campaign world for which he later wrote novels . He has also written over 200 articles for the Dungeons & Dragons magazine Dragon and is both a lifelong member of the Role Playing Game Association (RPGA) and a multiple guest of honor at Gen Con . In addition to his work as a writer and game designer, he also works as a librarian. He currently lives in an old farmhouse near Cobourg , Ontario , Canada.
