Edda Huther

Edda Huther (* 1940 in Brno ) is a German judge.

After studying law, Huther began working as a public prosecutor and judge . She then moved to the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice to write statements on constitutional complaints. Since 1975 she has been a judge at the Munich Higher Regional Court . She was also a consultant in the administrative department of the Bavarian Constitutional Court. In the 1980s she was the presiding judge at the Landshut Regional Court . She then became the presiding judge at the Munich Higher Regional Court. Then she was Vice President at the Regional Court of Munich I and became its President a year later. Between November 1, 2001 and February 28, 2005, Huther was President of the Munich Higher Regional Court. On July 10, 2001, she was elected President of the Bavarian Constitutional Court for the same period . She is chairwoman of the Neighborhood Council of Nuremberg Airport and has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt since 2018 .
