Eddie Dew
Edward M. Dew (born January 29, 1909 in Sumner , Washington , † April 6, 1972 in Burbank , California ) was an American actor and film director .
Life
Dew had worked in the film business since the mid-1930s and was signed by the Republic in 1943 to start a new Paul Revere series with him . After two films, in which he got Smiley Burnette aside, his contract was canceled and Bob Livingstone was used in his role. Dew went to Universal Studios and played minor roles; from time to time he also directed several small westerns, religious films and the television series Sergeant Preston , which was produced from 1955 to 1958.
