Eddie Lusk
"Professor" Eddie Lusk (born September 21, 1948 , † August 26, 1992 ) was an American blues musician ( piano , keyboard ).
Lusk's parents were preachers, which is why he came into contact with gospel music as a child . As a session musician he played in the late 1970s and 1980s on the South Side of Chicago a. a. with Luther Allison , Fenton Robinson , Syl Johnson , Michael Coleman , Otis Rush , Junior Wells , Buddy Guy ( Breaking Out , 1981), Koko Taylor ( Queen of the Blues 1985) and Jimmy Dawkins ( Kant Sheek Dees Bluze 1992). Lusk also led his own band, Professor's Revue , with which he recorded the album Professor Strut with Karen Carroll for Delmark Records in the late 1980s . As Lusk in 1992 learned that he was suffering from cancer, he committed in August 1992 suicide by the Chicago River jumped.
