Edelgard Jucknies
Edelgard Jucknies (called Gardy Jucknies ) (born June 15, 1940 in Königsberg , East Prussia ; † December 25, 2002 in Saarbrücken ) was a German television announcer .
Life
Gardy Jucknies first started at ZDF in Mainz and then switched to Saarland Broadcasting . There she primarily took over the announcement of the lunch program from the Montandreieck . Before that, she had initially worked as a mannequin and photo model. In Mainz she was trained as a television announcer at ZDF. Her first application after completing her training went to the Saarländischer Rundfunk, where she then worked for a year and a half. She wrote the texts of her announcements herself. Gardy Jucknies was the first to announce the Gilbert Becaud show from the studios in Saarbrücken. When saying goodbye to Mrs. Jucknies, the broadcaster and viewers assumed a short break, but she did not return to television.
