Powermad is an American power and thrash metal band from Minneapolis , Minnesota that was formed in 1984, split up in 1990 and reunited in 2007.
history
The band was formed in 1984. The group recorded a self-titled EP, which was produced with a circulation of 2,000 copies on Combat Records . Then the band took on more demos and thus reached a contract with Warner Bros. Records . The second EP, The Madness Begins… was released through Warner's sister label Reprise Records in 1988. A year later, the group recorded their debut album, Absolute Power . The song Slaughterhouse was later used in the movie Wild at Heart: The Story of Sailor and Lula . After the album was released in 1989, the group disbanded in 1990 and reunited in 2007. The group currently consists of singer and guitarist Joel DuBay, guitarist Todd Haug, bassist Jeff Litke and drummer Dirk Verbeuren (since 2011).
