Edgar Niemeczek
Edgar Niemeczek (born February 28, 1958 in Pressbaum , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian cultural manager, lawyer and radio presenter.
Life
Edgar Niemeczek studied law and has been working in regional cultural management in Lower Austria since 1986. From 2007 to June 2018, he and his wife Dorothea Draxler were managing directors and spokesperson for the Kultur.Region.Niederösterreich . He is a member of numerous musical associations. Since 2000 he has moderated the folk culture programs AufhOHRchen and G'sungen und g'spiel at ORF on Radio Niederösterreich . Furthermore, Niemeczek is responsible for the radio show Kremser Kamingesprache .
Niemeczek is also active as a specialist author in the field of folk culture. He is co-initiator of the Platform for Folk Culture Austria and was managing director of Folk Culture Lower Austria until 2013 .
