The Edgeworth Glacier is a 20 km long glacier on the Nordenskjöld coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows from the edge of the Detroit Plateau below the Wolseley Buttress to the northern section of the Larsen Ice Shelf , which it reaches west of the Sobral Peninsula .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it based on its own measurements between 1960 and 1961. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on February 12, 1964 after the British inventor Richard Lovell Edgeworth (1744-1817), who in 1770 developed the first tracked vehicle .
