Edi Reichart (born February 17, 1957 in Bad Griesbach im Rottal ) is a former German ski racer .

biography

Reichart started skiing at the age of three and won the German Junior Championships in giant slalom twice . From 1977/78 he started in the Alpine Ski World Cup . His best result and at the same time his only one in the points was a tenth place in the giant slalom of Val-d'Isère on December 10, 1977. In 1978 and 1980 Reichart became German giant slalom champion . At the Alpine World Ski Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1978 , he finished as the second best German in 20th place in his specialty, three hundredths of a second behind his compatriot Albert Burger . In 1984 he competed in the World Cup for the last time.

After the end of his active career, Edi Reichart ran a ski school in Bad Griesbach, was a trainer at the German Ski Association and in 2005 took over the position of Technical Director of Alpine Skiing at the Bulgarian Ski Association.
