Edipsos ( Greek Αιδηψός ( f. Sg. )) Is a municipality in the municipality of Istiea-Edipsos on the Greek island of Evia . It emerged in 2011 from the Edipsos community, which was founded in 1997, and is divided into a municipality and two local communities.

The municipality extends in the north of the island over an area of 115,461 square kilometers. Neighboring parishes are Lichada in the west and Orei and Istiea in the east.

Administrative division

The municipality of Edipsos (Δήμος Αιδηψού) was founded as a result of the municipal reform in 1997 through the merger of the municipality of Loutra Edipsou with the two rural municipalities of Agios and Gialtra. The administrative seat was the small town of Loutra Edipsou. With the administrative reform in 2010 , Edipsos became the municipality of Edipsos in the newly created municipality of Istiea-Edipsos .
