life and work

From 1951 she studied first with Heinz Stanske in Heidelberg and from 1953 to 1956 with Max Rostal in London. In 1956 she won the ARD International Music Competition .

Peinemann's lecture was characterized by an extraordinary creative power. In addition to classical and romantic violin literature, it also offered contemporary literature such as the violin works by Béla Bartók , Alban Berg and Aram Chatschaturjan in concerts. Since 1960 she has formed a chamber music duo with the pianist Jörg Demus .

From 1976 Peinemann worked as a professor for violin at the Frankfurt University of Music .
