Edithburgh is a small coastal town on the southeast end of the Yorke Peninsula ( English Yorke Peninsula ) in the Australian state of South Australia . In 2016 there were 454 residents.

The city is about 50 kilometers west of Adelaide , but is cut off by the Gulf of Saint Vincent , which is why the distance by car is 226 kilometers.

Edithburgh has a pier, like many other places on the Yorke Peninsula, which is now mainly used for fishing. Originally, the pier was used to load grain that is grown all over the peninsula and to unload goods that the city needed. Some crab and fishing boats are still stationed there today.

Southwest of the city is the Wattle Point Wind Farm , which opened in April 2005 , with 55 wind turbines .
