Edlin Who is a German rock band with English and German lyrics from the Rhein-Lahn district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
history
Founded in 1988 as one of the so-called "Kalkwerkbands" in Alte Kalk in Diez / Lahn , Edlin Who quickly made a name for himself in the regional area. The highlights of the live performance were a. the annual concerts at the Kalkwerkfestival .
In their favorite bar in Diez, Sir Winston, the band soon became part of the inventory. Not least with songs like Eintracht Zwietracht , with which Edlin Who celebrated the spectacular win of the “European Football Championship” of their pub team, the group made themselves - and the team - immortal. In 1992, at the height of her artistic career, Sir Winston closed it. Shortly thereafter, Edlin Who broke up.
The band had disappeared from the scene for almost 20 years. With a spectacular appearance at Fort Hauptstein in Mainz , she drew attention again as Ed Linwho & Friends. This was followed by concerts in Chrisi's barn, in Schmidts and on the Hermannshof. With a new program - u. a. Cover songs by Red Hot Chili Peppers , 3 Doors Down , Maroon 5 a . v. a. - the band has been active again since 2010.
