Edmund Saussen

Edmund Saussen (born June 21, 1927 in Hamburg , † after 1975) was a German actor on the stage, film and television.

Live and act

Born in Hamburg, he played for ten years at the Landestheater Darmstadt, where he could be seen as Valori in Frank Wedekind's King Nicolo and Baumgarten in Schiller's Wilhelm Tell , before he moved to the Bavarian State Theater in Munich for another ten years. At this time Saussen also began to work in television games, which had a wide variety of roles ready for him. In 1969 and 1971 he was Heinz Rühmann's television film partner in the two ZDF productions Sag's dem Santa Claus and Der Pfandleiher . After appearing on an episode of Der Kommissar , Edmund Saussen's career in front of the camera ended. Afterwards he concentrated entirely on theater work (for example at the municipal theaters of Freiburg in the 1980s).
