Edmut Kluge

Edmut Kluge (born March 24, 1933 in Goldap ; † October 29, 2019 ) was a German dialect author who wrote primarily in the Ore Mountains dialect .

Life

Kluge was born in 1933 in Goldap in East Prussia . Due to the outcome of the Second World War , he and his family were driven from their homeland. Since his marriage in 1955 he lived in Zschorlau in the Saxon Ore Mountains . He worked as a commercial clerk. From 1963 he published poetry and prose in High German and Ore Mountain dialect. These include own book publications as well as contributions to anthologies and magazines such as the Glückauf newspaper of the Erzgebirgsverein or the Erzgebirgische Heimatblätter .

In the Erzgebirgszweigverein Zschorlau Kluge worked from 1990 to 2012 as secretary, in the main association he held the office of auditor. He took part in events such as the Erzgebirge Dialect Days .
