Erzgebirgische Heimatblätter is the name of a magazine for Heimatfreunde that has been published under this title since 1979 and is currently published by the Kulturbund Landesverband Sachsen e. V. is published by Britta Günther in the editorial office .

history

The Erzgebirgische Heimatblätter originated from the amalgamation of the two local history journals Der Heimatfreund and Unser Heimat , which were published from 1956 to 1978 by the Stollberg district management and Marienberg district management of the GDR cultural association . The magazine, now consolidated across the entire Erzgebirge , was published by the Kulturbund district management in Karl-Marx-Stadt . The essays contained in the six annual issues reflect the diverse interests of the authors, which is reflected in a wide range of topics - from local lore and local history to folklore and dialect care to issues relating to nature and the environment. In addition, articles and leading articles on the cultural-political goals of the Kulturbund and the state led by the SED are widely represented in the 1980s . Günther Arnold was editor of the magazine from 1979 to 1991 . In the turning point of 1989, a circulation of 26,000 was sold.

With the fall of the Wall , the entire cultural landscape in the Ore Mountains changed. In addition to the Kulturbund, traditional associations such as the Erzgebirgsverein , the Freiberg Altertumsverein or the Landesverein Sächsischer Heimatschutz were re-established, which maintain their own magazines and series of publications. The Erzgebirgische Heimatblätter - editorially supervised by Barbara Dresig from 1991 to 1999 and by Lothar Riedel from 1999 to 2012 - remained in the sponsorship of the Kulturbund, which now acts as an association. Since 1993, they have been published and distributed by the Marienberg printing and publishing company (operating as ERZDRUCK GmbH since 2016). In addition to improvements in the typographical quality and the design options, expanded topics and different perspectives were now possible than in the GDR. It is the articulated goal to depict the Ore Mountains - with the critical inclusion of older literature - in all thematic facets and in its entire regional breadth in source-based articles. Britta Günther has been responsible for the editorial team since 2013 . It is supported by an editorial advisory board, which includes Klaus Gumnior , Claus Leichsenring , Rainer Sennewald , Wolfgang Uhlmann , Elvira Werner and Michael Wetzel .

The well-known regular authors also include Manfred Blechschmidt , Karlheinz Hengst , Werner Kaden , Bernd Lahl , Karl Hans and Manfred Pollmer , Joachim Seyffarth , Werner Spickenreuther , Christian Teller and Werner Markgraf .
