Britta Günther
Britta Günther (* 1970 ) is a German historian and archivist.
Günther studied history, historical auxiliary sciences, archival studies and art history at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the University of Leipzig from 1988 to 1993 . She then acquired extensive knowledge of the regional history of the Ore Mountains . She was a research assistant at the Augustusburg hunting lodge and with Reiner Groß at the chair for regional history of Saxony at the Technical University of Chemnitz . She also worked in the field of Saxon archives , including in the Chemnitz City Archives . She published several books, writings and magazine articles. She has been a member of the editorial board of the Erzgebirgische Heimatblätter since 1998, and took over the editorial team from Lothar Riedel on November 16, 2012 .
She lives in Weißbach .
