Ednaswap was an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles that existed between 1993 and 1998.

Although their publications are relatively unknown songs by Ednaswap became known worldwide when she by other artists gecovert were. Her song Torn was covered by Natalie Imbruglia when co-writer Phil Thornalley was producing for their debut album, and this version became a worldwide hit. The State I'm In was covered by Sinéad O'Connor in 2000 , produced by the songwriters and former Ednaswap members Anne Preven and Scott Cutler .

Anne Preven, Scott Cutler and Scot Coogan formed the short-lived band Annetenna after Ednaswap broke up . In 2000, Carla Azar founded the band Autolux together with Eugene Goreshter and the former failure guitarist Greg Edwards .

Front woman Anne Preven came up with the band name in a dream; in this dream she was playing in a band of that name that was so bad it was booed off the stage.

style

As with many bands, the style evolved with almost every release. The self-titled debut album is best described as post-grunge , but Chicken and Wacko Magneto were undoubtedly "dirty" hard rock with some similarities to Veruca Salt and Hole on their album Live Through This .
