Eduard Berenbach

Eduard Berenbach (born July 7, 1885 in Warmbach ; † August 28, 1962 in Überlingen ) was a German Catholic clergyman .

Life

Eduard Berenbach was ordained a priest on July 6, 1909. After his vicariate in Philippsburg , he became prefect at the Archbishop's High School Convict in Rastatt in 1910 . In 1917 he became vicar of St. Urban in Freiburg im Breisgau .

On November 28, 1918, he was appointed to the Princely Fürstenberg clergy and court chaplain in Heiligenberg Castle on Lake Constance; he succeeded Theodor Martin .

In 1952 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Nicola Cardinal Canali and invested in Cologne Cathedral on December 8, 1952 by Lorenz Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .

Eduard Berenbach published numerous local history books. His brother Josef Berenbach was a librarian at the Heidelberg University Library .
