Eduard Christ

Eduard Christ (born September 10, 1885 in Laubach , † February 9, 1965 in Cologne ) was a German bank manager.

Life

Eduard Christ received his doctorate in 1918 with the work The investment of the Reichsversicherungsanstalt's assets for salaried employees, especially its use in the interests of small apartment care . He entered the civil service and was most recently active as a government and state finance advisor for the Thuringian State Bank. In 1935 he was appointed to the board of directors of the Westdeutsche Bodenkreditanstalt in Cologne; after the end of the Second World War he was its chairman until his retirement in 1956, then a member of the supervisory board of the Westdeutsche Bodenkreditanstalt. He held other supervisory board mandates, such as at Bilfinger & Berger AG (since 1949).

Until his death in 1965, Christ was a member of the editorial team of the magazine for the entire credit system .

In 1952 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Nicola Cardinal Canali and invested in Cologne Cathedral on December 8, 1952 by Lorenz Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .

Christ married Therese Elisabeth Weinrich in Berlin in 1919 . He died at the age of 79 in his apartment in Cologne-Marienburg .
