Eduard Dawidowitsch Gratsch

Eduard Dawidowitsch Gratsch ( Russian Эдуард Давидович Грач ; born December 9, 1930 in Odessa ) is a Russian musician and music teacher.

He studied at the Moscow Conservatory in the class of Abram Jampolski and took part in master classes given by Dawid Oistrakh . Since 1989 he has been working as a professor at the Moscow Conservatory (violin) and in 1995 was elected the best music teacher in Russia by the expert committee of the magazine Musikalnoe Obozrenie .

Eduard Gratsch was chairman of the jury of the International Rotary Music Competition for Children in Moscow in 1997 and has been a member of the jury of this music competition ever since. In 1991 he was honored as a People's Artist of the USSR . He is an honorary member of the Italian Monti Azzuri Academy and an honorary professor at the Shanghai Conservatory.
