Eduard Fresenius
Eduard Fresenius (born November 17, 1874 in Frankfurt am Main , † February 10, 1946 in Bad Homburg in front of the height ) was a German pharmacist and entrepreneur .
Life
In Frankfurt am Main, Fresenius ran the Hirsch Pharmacy, which has existed since 1462. In 1912 he founded the company “Dr. Eduard Fresenius chemisch-pharmaceutical Industrie KG ”and relocated the company headquarters to Bad Homburg vor der Höhe with increasing productivity. Fresenius was married. Since the marriage remained childless, Fresenius adopted Else Fernau , who studied pharmacy and, after the death of Eduard Fresenius in 1946, continued the company with her husband Hans Kröner and expanded it into the Fresenius Group .
