Eduard Goebel
Eduard Göbel ( August 8, 1867 in Darmstadt - December 10, 1945 in Goddelau ) was a German theater actor and opera singer (tenor) as well as a singing teacher .
Life
The son of a painter, trained for the stage by Hermann Butterweck , first devoted himself to acting and was hired in 1886 for the court theater in Darmstadt . He worked there in the field of young lovers until 1892, then joined the Association of the Berlin Theater (1892 to 1895), from there came to the Lessing Theater (1895 to 1898) and then to the City Theater in Breslau. There he made the transition from actor to singer. He owed his education to Professor Corelli and the opera singer Adolf Neudörfer . From 1902 he was hired for the court theater in Hanover, where he remained until 1905.
From 1908 to 1911 he worked at the city theater in Lübeck and then lived in Halle / Saale. From there he gave guest performances and concerts and worked educationally.
Eduard Göbel was buried in the Darmstadt forest cemetery (grave site: L 1f 6).
