Eduard Hermann (born July 10, 1887 in Sootaga parish, Dorpat district , Livonia Governorate (now Estonia ), † February 8, 1960 in Chatswood, New South Wales , Australia ) was an Estonian walker .
Eduard Hermann started walking in 1911. In a competition over 10,000 m in Riga , he came first to the finish and was then sent as a member of the Russian team to the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 . However , he did not finish over 10,000 m .
Eight years later in Antwerp , Hermann started for Estonia, which has been independent since 1918 . Both in the competition over 3000 m and over 10,000 m he was disqualified in the first round.
After the Olympic Games in Antwerp, Hermann became interested in boxing and joined the VS Sport boxing club in Tallinn . In 1926 he emigrated to Australia and worked there as a farmer.
