Eduard Kühlwetter

Eduard Kaspar Hubert Kühlwetter (born March 22, 1813 in Düsseldorf , † August 10, 1897 in Cologne ) was a German politician and railway manager.

Life

Born as the son of a circle clerk and brother of Friedrich von Kühlwetter , Eduard Kühlwetter studied law and camera science in Bonn , Heidelberg and Berlin after attending the Düsseldorf high school . During his studies he became a member of the old Bonn fraternity in 1830 , the Populonia Bonn fraternity in 1831 and the Franconia old Heidelberg fraternity in 1832 . He was arrested in 1835 for his fraternity activities, but not convicted in 1837. Later he was a government assessor and from 1844 to 1889 conductor / director of the Cologne-Minden Railway . He became a Privy Councilor and was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the National Liberal Party from 1867 to 1868 .
